Meet John Brooks — a dedicated tattoo apprentice at 36 South Tattoo who’s been immersed in the tattoo world his entire life. Since beginning his apprenticeship under Eddie Kane in 2023, John has fully committed himself to developing his craft through consistent practice, drawing, and hands-on learning alongside a seasoned team of artists.

His training spans three unique studio environments within our brand, giving him a rare perspective on both the art and the culture of tattooing. This exposure has shaped his style and work ethic, allowing him to grow rapidly while staying grounded in the fundamentals.

John gravitates toward bold, traditional designs and has a strong hand for lettering and fine line work. As his portfolio evolves, so does his passion for delivering clean, timeless tattoos that honor the roots of the craft.
